Laser-cut box from 3mm basswood. The front lip was 1/8" baltic birch with 3 layers in a 8" clay pot. The bracing is optional.

Clay pots are 8 inches. Outside layer is clear-coated. Inner wood and dowel were not cut by laser but act as a washer and extra stabilizer for front panel. Front panel is glued in place with silicon.
