Next time, revisit the image settings. They were too light so I had to do a second pass. Maybe try the line settings. Cheese board from Dollar Tree. Board corners were prepped with hydrogen peroxide.

Utinsels were from Sierra Trading Post. The engrave was deep and I decided not to engrave the spoon face with a planned design because of that. Handles were prepped with hydrogen peroxide.
Laser-engraved black slate coasters. This was my first project engraving on slate and I'm still trying to figure out raster images. Vector images seem to look ok. Coasters 4" x 4". These were a gift.

The shell and the coaster with sea animals are raster images. The others are vector. Still need to work on raster images, especially photos.
Raster images should be processed in Photoshop. On a levels adjustment layer, change the output levels from 255 to 120 to correspond with the dynamic range available from the laser on slate. (See test coaster). Helpful video here.
