About Dick

Dick grew up in Ogden in the years after the Depression, the youngest of Wes and Vennetta's four children and a younger brother to Bud. He was a golfer, and a good one, from his school years onward.

Late in his life, as he was facing prostate cancer, his niece Jan ran a search through the old newspapers and turned up a run of golf clippings he had never seen, more than his mother Vennetta had ever managed to save. She gathered them into a book so he could read back through his own playing days. He got to enjoy it, and talk it over with his children, before he died in 2022.
