1500 QUEEN BEES RECEIVE AWARDS OF MERIT
Silver Bracelets are Presented at Meeting in Assembly Hall.
One of the greatest meetings ever held of a society associated with the M.I.A. was that last night when more than two thousand girls gathered in assesmbly hal for the presentation of awards to members of the Beehive girls who have attained the rank of "Builders in the Hive", according to officers of the improvement association.

Silver bracelets were presented to nearly fifteen hundred girls. Mrs. Ruth May Fox presided at the meeting last night, giving the opening prayer and the girls of the Beehive sang "Womanho Call". Miss Ellen Wallace read the report of cells filled by the Beehive Girls. "Talk-Spirit of the Hive" was the subject of an address by Miss Ann M. Cannon, while Mrs. Emily Adams conducted a discussion on "Builders' Purpose" among builders of the hive. President Martha H. Tingey of the M.I.A. gave an address, "My Beehive Girls". Benediction was by Miss Charlotte Stewart.

The stakes represented were the Cottonwood, Ensign, Granite, Jordan, Liberty and South Davis. To win the award of a bracelet the girls had to build forty-five cells - the cells being the unit of various forms of work in the society. Those things that must be performed, each counting for a cell, were sleeping out of doors for two months this summer, doing a kind act every day for a month, exercising a half-hour every day outdoors for two months, standing correctly, set a table tastefully and mend their own clothes for two months. The work is divided into different fields - health, public service, business, out of doors exercise, religion and domestic arts. One of the requirements is to go two months without catching cold.

The following girls in the stakes of the city received awards as well as the girls of the stakes in Salt Lake and David counties....
