AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY FETES NATIONAL LEADER
The Amerian Legion auiliary entertained at a banquet at Hotel Ben Lomond, Monday evening honoring Mrs. M. G. Andresen of Olympia, Wash., national vice president of the organization. The guests were seated at a large "U" shaped table which was adorned with tiny flags. There were 75 attending.

Mrs. Allison Bills, of Salt Lake City, state department president, presided, Mrs. Andresen gave a talk on "Patriotism and Defense Work." Solos were given by Paul Cragun and department officers and their wives were introduced. In charge of the event were Mrs. David A. Scott and Mrs. L. Wesley Robbins.

WOMEN MAP PARTY FOR OGDEN LEGION
OGDEN - Traditional among spring diversions in Ogden society is a bridge tea given each year by the American Legion auxiliary to Herman Baker post No. 9, the Saturday preceding Easter. The entertainment this year will be given in the ballroom of the Hotel Ben Lomond.

Mrs. Arthur Woolley is chairman of a general committee on arrangements. Other committee chairmen are: Tickets, Mrs. L. Wesley Robbins, and house, Mrs. L. J. Paine. A Pan-American theme will be carried out in the decorations.

OGDEN - The Ogden Association for Childhood Education will entertain at the annual dinner Friday evening at the Hotel Ben Lomond in honor of the fifth anniversary of the organization. Mrs. Jennie C. Neal, president of the branch, will preside. Miss Sarah McCracken is in general charge of arrangements and reservations may be made with Mrs. L. Wesley Robbins.

MRS. EUGENE CARR, DAUGHTER AND SON WILL LEAVE OGDEN
Mrs. E. Eugene Carr and her daughter, Florence, and son, Eugene, will leave May 15 to join Mr. Carr at Salt Lake City, and make their home.

A number of small social events have been given in honor of Mrs. Carr prior to her leaving. Among some the past week, was the luncheon given by Mrs. Art Shreeve at her home on Monday afternoon. Attending were Mrs. Carr, Mrs. Allen Pike, Mrs. Larry P. Wright, Mrs. Angus Ossman of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Fred Froerer, Mrs. Edwin Nelson, Mrs. Peck Lee and Mrs. L. Wesley Robbins.

OGDEN - Mr. and Mrs. John C. Brown of 1134 Twenty-eighth Street will be residing at the Hillcrest Apartments in Salt Lake very soon now, as Mr. Brown has been transferred to the capital city.

On Thursday at Hotel Ben Lomond in the English Room, Mrs. Brown was honored at a luncheon given by Mrs. Frank J. Collings and Mrs. Beulah H. Gavin. Mrs. L. Wesley Robbins. entertained in Mrs. Brown's honor at luncheon at her home on Wednesday afternoon.

WAFFLES SERVED SCORE AT USO
More than a score of soldiers at the USO headquarters were served waffles and home-made jam Sunday morning from nine to twelve thirty o'clock by members of the American Legion auxiliary. Those who assisted were: Mrs. D. A. Scott, Mrs. L. Wesley Robbins, Mrs. R. D. Rockwell, Mrs. Ray Minter, Mrs. O. Carl Olsen, and Mrs. L. J. Paine.

LEGION AUXILIARY MAPS BOND DRIVE
OGDEN - Special drives for the sale of war stamps and bonds will be conducted in Ogden every Monday by the auxiliary to Herman Baker post No. 9 of the American Legion, it was announced Saturday by Mrs. David A. Scott and Mrs. L. Wesley Robbins, cochairmen of a special committee in charge of the drives.

The auxiliary recently accepted responsibility for this series of special bond sales drives. Each member of the auxiliary will assist in the Monday campaigns in downtown stores, the chairman said.

Glasmann, recording secretary; Mrs. Aaron Horns, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Jack Roush, treasurer; Mrs. Cecil Frew, historian; Mrs. Ray Minter, chaplain; Mrs. Clarence C. McCletchie, sergeant at arms; Miss Jennie Steed, assistant sergeant at arms. Mrs. Nephi Wilkins, Bountiful, district president, will be the installing officer.

The American Legion auxiliary held a dinner Monday evening at the Ben Lomond hotel, for the purpose of installing new officers. Mrs. D. A. Scott, retiring president, presided and Mrs. R. D. Rockwell acted as toastmistress. Mrs. Arthur Wooley, in charge of decorations, arranged an effective table, using national colors in flowers, candles, flags and miniature metal service men. Frank Lorance, soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Byron Whittemore, entertained with several selections. .

Guests included Mrs. Ora Bundy, national committee woman; Mrs. Frank D. Anderson, department president; Mrs. H. C. McShane, department secretary; Mrs. Nephi Wilkins, district president; Mrs. Juel Trowbridge, district secretary.

After dinner, the party retured to the drawing room where Mrs. Nephi Wilkins acted as installing officer, assisted by Mrs. J. A. Loughran, acting as sergeant-at-arms. Officers installed are as follows: Mrs. L. Wesley Robbins, president; Mrs. Arthur Woolley, first vice president; Mrs. WIlford Gwilliam, second vice president; Mrs. R. C. Glasmann, secretary; Mrs. J. H. Roush, treasurer; Mrs. Cecil Frew, historian; Mrs. Aaron Horne, corresponding secretary; Mrs. C. C. McLatchie and Mrs. Jennie Steed, sergeants-at-arms, and Mrs. Ray Minter, chaplain.

Mrs. L. J. Paine presented Mrs. Scott with a beautiful past president's pin, in acknowledgement of her year's work.

Chairman was Mrs. Robert Harlin, and those assisting were Mrs. L. Wesley Robbins, president; Mrs. Arthur Woolley, Mrs. Wilford Gwilliams, Mrs. S. W. Badcon and Mrs. Jack Paine. Representing the legion were Lee Bartlett, vice commander, and A. Read Michelsen adjutant.
